Chaired by Prof Mauro LABANCA (Registrar European Section and Regent Italian District), a meeting of the Italian District was organised that was held from 16-17 September in Genoa.On Friday evening, a great fun and family dinner was arranged in an authentic seafood restaurant.
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. fascinating lectures were given by Sergio Borra on team building, Christina Brondoni on patient profiling, Mauro Labanca on human errors in decisions making and Alice Luna Zanel on branding and digital communication. All of them instructive and important topics for the dental profession. After a nice lunch, the meeting of the Italian district was held in the afternoon. Regent Mauro Labanca presented the situation of the ICD European Section. New candidates were also introduced for Fellowship of the ICD.
The meeting ended in the evening with a marvellous dinner as is only possible in Italy, good food and delicious wine. The camaraderie within the Italian District can be called very special. Section President Walter van Driel who was present at all the events, enjoyed the whole event with deep respect, wonder and with much affection.
