Friday, the 12th of November, the induction ceremony of the 9 inductees of District 11- Portugal took place in Lisbon.
Although it could not have been extended to many people due to the pandemic, it was a beautiful, emotional ceremony with the nobility befitting our Academy, and inspired by the motto “Recognising Service and the Opportunity to Serve”.
We were honored to have our President for Europe. Gil gave a wonderful speech, in which he told the history of the academy, and motivated the inductees to embrace the spirit of ICD.
The ceremony was mastered by our fellow Francisco do Vale.
Of course, Regent and vice-Regent wore deeply envolved, too.
I hope the new Fellows will prove to be worthy of the message addressed to them.
