Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Killiney was once again the venue for this years annual dinner, with 76 guests attending on the night – a wonderful turnout. We were delighted to have Prof Mauro Labanca, current European President, as our guest of honour. Mauro presented a cheque for €2500 on behalf of the Irish fellows to the Capuchin Day Centre. Drs Pat Cleary and Brendan Fanning, who both volunteer at the centre, were delighted to accept the donation and assured us it would be put to good use.
We were also delighted to congratulate our Northern Ireland fellow Dr Roz McMullan on receiving an OBE from Prince William at Windsor Castle for services to mental health and wellbeing in the dental profession.
Prof Mauro Labanca was our guest of honour and he spoke very eloquently about the values and potential of the ICD. He was delighted with the warm welcome, hospitality and the positive feedback he got from those present. We are now preparing for the Annual European Meeting in Milan in July 2026 – and hope to see many of you there.
