This year, our work has focused on health literacy and training, reaching children, teachers, and local health professionals across Bissau, Cacine, and the Bijagós Islands. Through radio and television campaigns, we continue to raise community awareness and promote better oral health practices.
The involvement of local health professionals has become a cornerstone of our success. Years of training are now showing measurable impact, with improved knowledge and services across the regions.
In early 2025, we hosted a scientific event that gathered over 120 participants, marking a major milestone for oral health in Guinea. The discussions highlighted the growing understanding of the link between oral health and overall well-being.
Our Bissau clinic has become a national reference center, handling referrals for complex cases such as severe infections and oral cancers. Meanwhile, our teams in Cacine and the Bijagós Islands continue to provide essential care as the only NGO offering oral health services in these areas.
We were honored to welcome the Minister of Health to our 20th anniversary celebration in Guinea. His recognition of Mundo A Sorrir’s ongoing contribution to improving oral health was both inspiring and motivating for our team.
