On November 15th, the Foundation for Social Dentistry (FOS) held its annual awards ceremony in the auditorium of the Seville Dental Association. The event was co-chaired by the President of the Seville Dental Association, Dr. Rafael Flores, and Fellow Dr. Antonio Castaño Seiquer. During the ceremony, the FOS Award was presented to the Philip Dear Foundation in recognition of its outstanding collaboration in solidarity projects, with the award accepted by the President of Section 5, Dr. Werner Lill. Additionally, Dr. Javier Herrera, a new Fellow, was named Cooperator of the Year for his exceptional contributions to the FOS, while Fellow Dr. Ángel Carreño, President of the Cádiz Dental Association, was also honored for his support and dedication.
On November 16th, the 5th Scientific-Solidarity Meeting and the 1st joint Hispano-Luso meeting in support of the Philip Dear Foundation took place in Seville. The event was attended by 192 participants, including president, Dr. Werner Lill, the Regent of Portugal Francisco do Vale and Dr. Gil Alcoforado and numerous Fellows from Portugal and Spain.
The speakers were Fellows Dr. Guitián, Dr. Macedo de Sousa, Dr. Mariana Dolores, Dr. Herrera, Dr. Martins, and Dr. Lozano.
